FAQ

When is the next Big Crafty?
Sunday, December 5, 2010, from 12pm-6pm, at Pack Place in downtown Asheville.

Is this a juried show?
Sure is, and we get more applications than we have spaces, so apply soon.

How do I apply?
You can find our application here: http://thebigcrafty.com/application.html

When is the vendor application deadline?
October 25, 2010

When will notifications of acceptance be sent out?
A percentage of spots will be filled each week, but all applicants will be notified by November 2, 2010.

What is the vendor fee?
$85

When is the payment deadline?
Payment is due by November 9, 2010.

What if I need a refund?
Your $10 application fee is non-refundable. For those facing hardships, we will refund the $85 vendor fee in full prior to the final payment deadline. After that date, we'll be counting on your participation and will not be able to refund vendor fees. Please note also that if the event is cancelled due to flood, earthquake, national knitting needle shortage, or other events beyond The Big Crafty's control, we will not be able to refund your booth fee.

Do I need to provide my own table?
You may bring your own table or add $10 to your vendor fee to rent one. Accepted vendors will receive rental request forms with their Big Crafty acceptance info.

Can I share a booth?
Yes, but you must send both artist's info/pics in order for both artists to be accepted.

How can I help out?
We have volunteer opportunities both before and during the event. Please contact us for more information. If your business has something to contribute or wishes to help sponsor this event, please contact us!

Is this an indoor event?
Our December event will be indoor.

How big are the vendor spaces?
We'll be occupying an irregular space indoors, so we cannot guarantee uniformity. All spaces will accommodate 8' rental tables and a small space (max 2.5') for comfortably sitting behind it.

Will electricity be available?
There is limited available electricity but there is light at Pack Place. If you anticipate needing additional light and/or electricity, please let us know ahead of time and plan to bring utility cables. Cables cannot cross walkways, and no cables should impair others' ability to move about in any way.

Will team Big Crafty be able to help me unload/pack up?
Sorry, no. We'll be attending to event-wide set up and clean up. It is your responsibility to set up/break down your booth and belongings. No trace of your set-up should be left behind. If you rent a table from us, it is your responsibility to return it to the table cart from which you took it.

Parking?
There are pay parking garages super close to Pack Place, but on Sundays there are NO METER FEES, which helps us all out and encourages shoppers to be downtown, too!

How do I contact The Big Crafty?
Email Brandy & Justin at crafty[at]thebigcrafty.com.

Pack Place is located in the Pack Square Park Cultural District, on historic Pack Square in the center of downtown Asheville, North Carolina.
